Here’s yet ANOTHER foundation that I’ve had my eye on. I like the Tarte brand and have used/currently using their products. LOVE their blushes and their gel eyeliner. Anyway, like I said before…I had my eye on their latest foundation, which is the Maracuja foundation. They also have other products in the Maracuja line, but this foundation is all I’m interested in at the moment. This lil’ thing looks so interesting. (I love the glass bottle, AND the fact that it’s has a pump!):
Here’s the description of the foundation (taken from their site):
Thanks to the miracle of maracuja, this long wearing, waterproof pure foundation rich in Vitamin C and available in 10 shades, goes on seamlessly and instantly restores skin’s natural luster for a firmer, brighter, smoother complexion. Maracuja has also been known to reduce redness, irritation, and inflammation of the skin making this foundation perfect for all skin types and ideal for sensitive, dehydrated, dry or aging skin. The combination of Vitamins A, E and mineral pigments hydrates and preserves skin. tarte’s maracuja miracle is housed in a soft-finish recyclable glass bottle that boasts a sustainable bamboo cap making it our most eco-chic foundation ever.
FIRMER: nutrient-rich essential fatty acids repair & rejuvenate skin

beeswax: as an alternative to synthetic waxes, natural beeswax is used as a waterproofing agent, a protective barrier between the skin and the environment and it has also been known to naturally stimulate collagen production which plumps the skin and decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
maracuja: known to reduce redness, irritation & inflammation of the skin
mineral pigments: colors and dyes derived from natural minerals have been know to soothe and soften the skin
water: pure water delivers and retains moisture
I like the fact that it doesn’t have the what’s known to be the worst ingredients, in this foundation! However…unlike the Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation, this foundation comes in only 10 shades. That’s not great, but hopefully some will be able to test it out to see which shade fits them. I’ve seen the Deep shade (which is the darkest), and that shade is actually too light for the dark-skinned woman. That’s a shame. Tarte needs to come more correct for that one. Hopefully they’ll add more shades in the future. By actually going to Sephora a while back to see the shades, I’m closest to the shade “Tan”. It might be a tad bit too light, especially since I’ve tanned. I tan easily in the Summer from just walking outside. But there’s nothing that bronzer can’t do, right? LOL!
I plan on purchasing this soon
(when I get my money…SMH), and this will be the first time I’ve ever tried a face product from Tarte. Are any of you interested in this product? Will you be getting it? Do you have it, already?
