Day 21 of 30: Smoke

I used my Viseart palette again today and went with a smokey eye. It’s so easy to do (now). It’s been a lil’ while since I’ve rocked a black smokey eye. The key to doing a great one is all about blending and knowing about gradients.

This palette is love. In my opinion, it’s better than some of these neutral palettes that are hot now. *cough, cough* Naked palettes * cough, cough*

Aveda Botanical Kinetics Hydrating Lotion

Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide in Amber

Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer in SX13 (underneath my eyes – color correct darkness)

Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide in Chai (to highlight a bit under the eyes, down the nose and chin area)

Kett Sett Compact Powder (to set entire face)

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipdown brow pomade in Dark Brown (to fill in brows)

Urban Decay Primer Potion (Anti-Aging)

Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer in SX13 (as a base)

Viseart Palette (Neutral Mattes 01) – Reddish brown e/s as a transition color and the Black e/s on the lid and lower lash line. (I also used the Taupe shade to contour my nose. You can use this palette for anything, man. LOL.)

MAC Feline Kohlpower on the upper waterline and the bottom waterline

L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector pressed in Opal (to highlight above cheeks)

Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Bronzing Veil in Tropical Nights

Armour Beauty lip gloss in Diana

MAC Stone lip liner

  1. Hi there,
I’m glad to have found your blog again. I have the Viseart matte palette. I was wondering which palette you prefer, this or the Melt Dark Matter.

    • Hi!

They are quite different in terms of the undertone. The Viseart Matte palette are very neutral colors, whereas the Melt Cosmetic stacks are more warm and colorful.
